On the rooftop, I looked up to see the stars-

I saw them looking back at me,
Waiting for their presence to be felt.

I felt gravity consuming me, down I knelt.

This position seemed familiar to me,
But the million meanings estranged me
From that one meaning I was seeking.

I looked back at the stars for a while.
Then saw the same view as I closed my eyes.

Who knew I was hiding galaxies inside.

I finally found the constellation revealing the truth to me.

I had a cross on my heart-
Sitting in a position in which people read Namaz.
Looking at the stars that made the Hindu god.

I smiled like I never had,
For I knew, unison is the most powerful gift I have.
